How to Use Smart Reframe in DaVinci Resolve 17

In this week’s video I go over how to use Smart Reframe in DaVinci Resolve 17 Studio. This feature utilizes DaVinci Resolve Studio’s built-in AI to automatically reframe your video to fit different aspect ratios for delivery on mobile and various social media platforms. This is a handy feature included with the Studio version of Resolve. Don’t worry if you have the free version of Resolve though, you can still manually reframe your footage with the zoom/position transform controls in the inspector.

LED Panel Effect Free Preset for DaVinci Resolve 17

Included with this week’s video is a LED Panel Effect Preset for Davinci Resolve 17. This is a fully-contained macro preset effect that will make your footage look like it’s being displayed on a large commercial LED Screen. The preset will work like any other preset Fusion node with its own contained controls in the inspector. All you have to do to use this is go to the download link included with the video to get the file. Once you’ve downloaded the file copy it to the provided directory, replace [YOURNAME] with your username. Included below is the Windows installation directory, the installation process will be the same for Mac it will just be a different directory.
